I've Been Busy

I've been really busy with Willow! It's been perfect weather for riding!

Recently I have been trying to get her working long and low. She used to barrel race and is always ready to run and gets pretty tensed up. 

Any tack, props, or customs I should make for breyerfest?

BreyerFest 2017: Basic Outline

Hi guys! I haven't been able to post that often, but I wanted to make an announcement!

I AM GOING TO BREYERFEST THIS YEAR

So far, I only know that I will not be there on Friday, and that my special run ticket is for Saturday 10:00 to 11:00 am.

I would like to get stablemate customs.

So, if you guys didn't know, Braymere Custom Saddlery is hosting National Model Painting Month, aka NaMoPaiMo. I originally wasn't going to participate, because I am scared of messing up, but I signed up anyways. My first victim was to be HF Journey, but... technical difficulties led me to be horseless. Lets just say there was a bonfire involved...

Out of any nonshow models, I burst out my childhood friend. Crayola Model Magic. Yes. A new low has been found. I sculpted a tiny potato horse, similar to Margeret Balch's Blobby Buddies.

My potato horse is in a good trot frame and has dressage braids and a braided tail.

I will do a full post of before and after, but this is her yesterday.

Tail and ears removed. {not on purpose. this tail fell off 7 times and broke in half}

I have fixed the shading.

Not even going to try to fix that.

I evened out the colors and the muzzle is now a tad darker.

Tail is now glued back on, ears going back after black points are done drying.

What white marking should I add? Specify pinking or not, if on nose. 

also this horse wont have eyes.

The 26th was my birthday! I got another Peter Stone, the Varnish Roan Appaloosa with Sleazy Sleepwear.

I also picked up a Breyer Justin Morgan from the Justin Morgan Gift Set, Breyer #2065. He was $5 dollars, and has a weird area around his throatlatch that has tons of tiny bubbles. I am going to try and fix that, and maybe paint him.

Welcome!

Well, I don't really know what to say.

I am Vanessa, I obsess, collect, and show model horses. I live in the Pacific Northwest with my family, our dog, our 7 chickens, one goat, and soon, my horse!

The first time I remember getting a model horse was my 7th birthday. My grandma had gotten me all of the Classics Saddle Club products, the stablemates barn, truck and trailer, tons of the mare and foal, and singles. I have some of those to this day.

Today, I mainly have Classics. I just started making the transition to Traditionals last year, I would have sooner, but I never could afford them.

I started showing in the IMEHA this month and my horses results are looking amazing so far! My QH mare came 4th out of 42 in her first show!

I can't wait to see how far I will go.
